Looky what I did!

MONDAY!!! YUCK and even worse, tomorrow is TUESDAY!!! But I am feeling better about it already because I have uploaded the 1st video of the finished project 'Petals' I posted yesterday!

I am trying to keep the videos around 5 minutes each so they will be in bits at a time, its easier to edit and upload and I know how a long video can get 'BLAH'

Please let me know if you have any suggestions about how I could better my videos!

Had to edit today's entry! I actually finished the 2nd video edit! so its a 2-fer day today!

Enjoy!

Sunday Funday!!

So today was Sunday Funday in my house! I woke up, drank some coffee, looked outside the weather was icky with snow and a crisp chill in the air so I decided not to leave the house,  took a shower and changed into a fresh pair of P.J.s. and got out my supplies!

I pulled out a canvas board and decided to look in my stash for inspiration, I was inspired by some paper but I liked it to much to cut it up! (Sorry I don't have a pic, but it will be in the video once I upload it.)

So instead I used the colors, and the flowers to fill my canvas, I hope you like it as much as I enjoyed making it! the video should be up within the week! So check back!

The materials I used in this project were assorted stamps and stencils, Inktense Pencils, Dylusions Spray Inks, acrylic paint, Momento marker and decorative papers.

Okay Peoples!! I am so excited! I have just finished uploading my 1st tutorial video, granted I learned a lot from the process which is a less demeaning way of saying its slightly fuzzy and there are hiccups in the clips, but hey I think it works!

I am going to start recording part two as soon as I get done typing here! I hope you enjoy and don't forget to leave a comment if you see anything you'd like me to go over! Hugs and mushy stuff!

Its Tuesday, YUCK, not happy about that, can you tell? its my least favorite work day, worse than Monday! The past weekend has worn off and the next one is too far away! But I guess it could be worse, I get to leave work and look at the lovelies I have created for my house that has made it a home. I thought I should share some of the items!

This is a photo I took of my 20 year old Maine Coon kitty, I love the different textures, and her little pink nose as she peaks through the crack of the front door.

I took this photo of crows in the tree across the street, it was a neat photo on its own but I had an awesome green frame to fill! So I used the free editing on PicMonkey to alter it. I soon graduated to buying PhotoShop, but this is still one of my favorites.

I needed pictures for the wall in the kitchen but my kitchen colors are in green, orange and brown, and its not Halloween themed so finding things I liked in the right colors was hard, so I went looking, got inspired and I made my own!

I wanted a matchy matchy cup and saucer and I wanted to try out the Sharpie cup decorating that is everywhere and this is what I ended up with! Sadly the colors have faded from use 3 months later but that just gives me another palette!

I found this end table at a consignment shop for $5 it was stained, with dings and dents, so I sanded it down and primed and painted it my favorite color!

My husband is a musician and thinks my doodles are cool so I found a plain white guitar shaped frame at Christmas Tree Shoppe and went crazy with my Sharpies, I gave it to him for his birthday and he loved it!

There are other items around the house but these are the ones that make me smile the most! I hope you enjoyed my sharing!

New Book for a New Blog!

I just started a new journal since I started this blog, I figured I would show the book as it happens! I have gotten a good start on the 1st two pages and thought I would show the step by steps of what I have done so far!

The first step was to cover the cover back and first page with gesso, while it was still wet I sprayed it generously with Dylusions Ink than blotted it with paper towels until it was blended they way I liked it :)

I found a picture in a beauty salon add and used Gesso Gel to adhere it to the page. I used my marker to outline some fun little doodles and filled them in with black paint, on both pages, sadly the
pic I took of the full book was horribly out of focus, Ooops!

I used my white gel pen to add the lines and dots around the edge of the black

And the last thing I did to it today was use my Inktense Pencils to outline the and color the  lips and add tendrils of hair

I hope you like what I've shown you and let me know if there is anything you would like me to try out!

First!

My Name is Shana (rhymes with banana) I have been roaming the electronic world looking at Pinterest, Blogs, Videos and anything I can get my little eyes on for inspiration for creative outlet, this has led me to be inspired to start my own blog! So here I am! We'll see how long I keep this up!

I enjoy all mediums of art, I love photography, Photoshop, drawing, painting and mixed media journals and canvas work depending on the mood that suits on the given day! I just need creative outlets to stay sane!

My current favorite mediums to work with are paper, acrylic paint and my Derwent  Inktense pencils, on canvas.
Here are a couple of bits from a project I did for a friend going through rough times.

Now that I have started this blog I will start documenting my process so that I can share what I have learned in my creative journey!

Please let me know if you have any requests for me to create and we can work through the process together!

Hugs and Love!
